A Good User Experience Is Still The Golden Rule

Tonight, I decided to take the bold step of replacing this site’s WordPress theme.  I was looking for a design that was a little more bold and flashy.  I found this awesome theme that was red and had a real edge to it.  So without delay, I made the switch.

Facebook Connect Comment Box for WordPress

One of my goals this year was to get absolutely hands-on with Social Media tools.  Solely focusing all of my time on SEO had given me limited room to branch out into social media marketing.  But, I get the impact that social has on search and vice-versa.  I understand that the two practices will need to work together well.

SEO Friendly Shopping Cart System for Small Business

A few years ago, oh… I’d say 2005, I was contacted by a small business owner who was selling hearing-aids online.   The first time we spoke, he mentioned that the Web designer he initially hired took his money and ran.  And as you can only imagine, he was frustrated and wary of Web designers.  So, I asked the gentleman to send me his log-in information so I could take a look at the backend.  This is where I met and fell in love with osCommerce.com. Since that day, I’ve helped develop dozens of osCommerce solutions for small businesses.

osCommerce.com is a free open-source shopping  cart system that works like a charm.  It functions as a CMS, so once you have the software set-up and configured on your server, it’s very easy to maintain.  Also, since it’s open source, there are a ton of free add-on features http://addons.oscommerce.com/ that make it even more customizable for both the site owner and the customer.  Some of the features osCommerce offers are Read the rest of this entry »
